James Cameron, Left “poking” Himself

I was betting on James Cameron to walk away with the Oscar for Best Director. But it turned out that the Academy had a special surprise on International Women’s Day. Kathyrn Bigelow walked away with the award. Leaving James Cameroon high and dry.

Well, this is not the first time that she has left James high and dry. The winner of the Best Director at the 82nd Academy Awards, did the same a few years back when she decided to split with her hubby, James Cameron. That’s right, Kathyrn was James Cameron’s ex-wife for close to 3 years. James has married twice after that. (How many more left, James??!!).

Word has it that James took to Full Tilt Poker rather seriously after this incident. Full Tilt Poker Bonus was too tempting for the ace director to bury his sorrow in. This game is a super cool one. The quality of players is one the highest and player traffic is awesome. During peak times there can be a very heavy demand for this one. Avatar Movie Review

James Cameron is back, and back with a bang. His latest offering Avatar, is perhaps his best yet!
Yes, you heard it right. This one probably tops Titanic.

The movie is set in the year 2154, in a planet light years from earth, Pandora. A multinational corporation is out to exploit the mines of the planet and an unexpected saviour from planet earth, saves Pandora. This role is played by Jake Sully (Sam Worthington), and what a role from him to walk into. James Cameron has set up the perfect sci-fi film with all the thrills and fancies you only dreamt of, forming a part of this magnum opus.
 
Here goes the story, a large MNC has set up a mining colony in Pandora. And with the help of the Avatar program, a retired marine officer (James Sully) is transformed into a native of the planet. The natives are the blue creatures you have probably seen in stills flashed all over the world. James adapts and evolves to life in this new world, that he has learbt to call his home. There is also a romantic twist in the tale, and it is a thoroughly believable sequence. Oh!, it involves the natives of Pandora and the James Sully.
 
Technically, it is perhaps the best the sci-fi movie ever made. Somehow, it seems to justify every penny of the 1,500 crore budget. There is not a scene in the movie that is redendant and not an animation sequence out of place. The years of post-filming work have come out wonderfully. A full thumbs up to the team. Avatar rocks..!
 
If you thought Titanic was the best in class in the romance genre, Avatar tops the Sci-fi charts. Watch the movie, give yourself a treat.
