Actor Vijay, who is having an aweful run at the box office, is facing his next major challenge. Latest reports have it that the actor has been removed from the remake of the very successful movie 3-Idiots. Director Shankar would be directing this movie after his high performance mega flick Endhiran.
Actor Vijay was among the earliest stars who were confirmed to play a part in this movie. Last month, Jiva and Sreekanth were confirmed as the other 2-Idiots. But latest developments have meant that Vijay had a fall out with director Shankar over costumes and an image makeover. The difference has been so much that the actor has refused to compromise his look for his ongoing movie.
Actor Vijay clearly needs a good head to guide him through this challenging phase. He last big hit was years ago and 3-Idiots was supposed to be his big break. Unfortunately the actor has refused to grow up and is continuing to throw his star tantrums. Vijay will be the big loser in this ego clash. Hope he gains some sense. Meanwhile, this news has spread joy among people who were hoping that Vijay would not be playing the role done by Aamir Khan. Fans of the original are happy at least for now.
Actor Simbu, after success in Vinnai Thandi Varuvaya, is busy with his next project. Simbu’s mellowed screen presence went down well with the ladies audience. It is still a guess, if Poda Podi will cast him in the same light. It will be hard for Simbu to curtail is natural instincts once again. So everyone is expecting a return of the old Simbu in this movie.
Poda Podi is directed by Vignesh Siva and is produced by Gemini Film Circuit and Padam Kumar. Simbu has gone the extra mile to get his look right in this film. International hair stylists Toni&Guy will be doing Simbu’s hair in this movie. Varalakshmi Sarath Kumar, daughter of Sarath Kumar will be paired with Simbu. The lovely lass has made a mark as an able dancer, wonder if acting will be her forte.
